History of Surfing is the second site in series of print media turned online surf data repositories. It's creator, Matt Warshaw, has been called the premier surf historian of our time and the vast amount of information and categorization involved in his work demonstrates that. History of Surfing is run on a Wordpress multisite install, allowing it to share one back end yet power two separate sites. It shares content and taxonomy with Encyclopedia of Surfing, yet runs its own theme and is mapped to separate domain.
